This one day workshop for health professionals who work with male survivors of child abuse provides health professionals with the support they need, so they can in turn, support their clients.

‘Men and women are different. Successful recovery must incorporate that understanding. This workshop explores models of recovery utilizing positive aspects of male socialization.’ Mike Lew

Mike will present a fresh, strength-based model of men's recovery. Participants are invited to offer their own experiences and senses of humour.

Learning objectives:

  • 1. Explore traditional and non-traditional approaches to recovery in the context of the specific needs of male survivors
  • 2. Learn how professionals, survivors, and allies can collaborate to bring about successful healing.
  • 3. Broaden participants' perspectives on recovery for male survivors.

The full registration fee for this workshop is $220 and the student fee is $180. Proof of student status will need to be provided on arrival at the workshop or the balance of the full fee must be paid.
